Resumen

Globally, mobile phones have expanded at an unprecedented rate, and mobile phone applications have become increasingly frequent among users, offering portability to access at any time and from anywhere. The objective of this review is to describe the process of adoption and implementation of strategies that promote the use of mobile technologies in public health in Costa Rica.
