Abstract
Foreign body ingestion occurs frequently in children and can lead to serious complications. This article presents the case of a 2-year-old girl who ingested a foreign body (FB) that lodged in the esophagus and developed an intraluminal mass-like lesion. She presented with chest pain. The studies carried out did not reveal the foreign body. She underwent surgery with resection of the mass and secondary anastomosis. Pathology reported an EC 2 cm long, flat, round, plastic and inert, with a significant inflammatory reaction.
